JUNE 27, 2015

TRI AROOSTOOK is a USAT Sanctioned Sprint Distance Triathlon for ages 16 and older.  Compete as an individual for the full sprint      triathlon (swim, bike, and run) or as a team member on a relay of two or three. TRI AROOSTOOK will be capped at 125 athletes.

   SPRINT TRIATHLON

TRI AROOSTOOK will be held on the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus.  Athletes will self seed when registering based on       their estimated time for a 525 yard swim.  Swim waves of twelve athletes in six lanes will begin in the Gentile Hall Indoor Pool.  This is     followed by a 10.25 mile scenic bike that takes athletes south towards Aroostook State Park, then looping back into Presque Isle.           Finish this amazing event off with a 3.1 mile (5K) run through the fields and trails adjacent to the campus, which brings athletes to a       roaring finish!

   RELAY

Can't swim?  Not a biker?  Forget running?  Consider being a member of a relay team for TRI AROOSTOOK!  A relay team consists      of two or three members, who will complete a segment or two of the full sprint triathlon (swim, bike, and run).  Need help creating a        relay team?  Simply post to the CompetitorME Facebook page and we'll help!
